Today, we’re taking you behind the scenes to show you what a day in our sneaker cleaning and restoration studio looks like!
1. Morning Kickoff: Sorting & Inspection
Our day starts bright and early with a fresh batch of sneakers ready for restoration. Each pair is carefully inspected to determine:
✔️ The type of material (leather, suede, nubuck, mesh, etc.)
✔️ The level of dirt, stains, or damage
✔️ Special restoration needs (color touch-ups, sole reglue, deep cleaning)
We take detailed notes to ensure every sneaker gets the right care.
2. Cleaning Phase: Bringing Sneakers Back to Life
Cleaning is the most important step in sneaker restoration. Here’s how we do it:
🔹 Laces & Insoles Removed – We clean them separately for a fresh start.
🔹 Brushing & Scrubbing – Using soft or firm brushes depending on the material, we scrub away dirt and stains.
🔹 Suede & Nubuck Treatment – Special suede erasers and brushes restore texture without damaging delicate material.
🔹 Midsole & Sole Whitening – For sneakers with yellowed or stained soles, we apply oxidation-removal techniques to bring back their clean look.
By the time this step is done, the sneakers already look much better!
3. Restoration Phase: The Magic Happens
Once the sneakers are clean, it’s time to restore their original beauty. This can include:
🎨 Repainting Faded Leather – We match and repaint scuffed or faded leather panels to make them look factory-fresh.
🔄 Suede Dyeing & Refreshing – If suede has lost its vibrancy, we carefully re-dye and condition it.
🛠 Sole Regluing & Repairs – Sneakers with detached or worn-out soles are re-glued and reinforced for durability.
✨ Detailing & Finishing Touches – Final touch-ups, lace swaps, and waterproofing sprays ensure a lasting finish.
4. The Final Check & Customer Pickup
Before sending the sneakers back to their owner, we do a strict quality check:
✅ Are all stains and dirt gone?
✅ Is the color restored evenly?
✅ Are soles secured and reinforced?
✅ Does the sneaker look and feel fresh?
Once everything is perfect, we package them carefully, ready to be picked up or shipped back to their happy owner!
